cone of shame
Here’s Miko sporting his cone of shame. He makes quite a racket as he bumps into everything around the house. It was amusing at first but it proved to be more than a nuisance. This past Saturday, Jenny was doing some laundry and he knocked the door, locking Jenny out with no keys and no phone. He’s so mischievous…sometimes I think he’s part cat.
sentimental
I decided to blog this photo of Jenny because it’s raining, it’s late and I miss her. I know, I’m such a sap…but really, is it ever a bad thing to know that you are missed?
This was taken during dessert at a recent dinner get together with our friends Bill and Betty.

Tour Promo Shoot
I’m finally getting around to posting a recent shoot. My former bandmates at church are going on their second annual tour to Vancouver. Sadly, I won’t be joining them for this tour but they scheduled me to shoot some photos for their promotional materials. The weather held out for us and it was really fun to hang out with the old bandmates again. They let me run with their concept of representing the life of Jesus on a laundry line: the infant, the teacher, the sacrifice, and the king. Enjoy the photos and as always, comments are welcome.

Bread Salad, 2 Hour Spaghetti, Root Beer Floats and LOUD Children
Rob and Shirley had us over for dinner and I couldn’t resist taking photos of their children. Great meal and great company.

Birthday Potluck Iron Chef Style
Denise had a great idea for celebrating Jenny’s birthday. We had a potluck with an “iron chef” twist. All guests were asked to be ready to make a dinner course using the secret ingredient (crab). We arrived with recipes in hand and received our dinner course assignments before shopping, cooking, and eating together. We ended the evening with good conversation and some games.
At Last
It’s been a long time coming but at last we are engaged! Jenny had no idea it was coming and I did a good job of keeping it a surprise by containing my excitement. I also made sure I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary leading up to the big day. This means I did all my planning and shopping at odd hours to avoid suspicion. I even had to sneak away a couple times during my recent trip to Los Angelas to make last minute arrangements with the jeweler.
I proposed this past Sunday but have been withholding this post until we had the opportunity to share the news with immediate family and close friends. This picture was taken by my father after sharing the news with my parents.
SoCal Vacation
I traveled to LA with Cindy and Jenny between Christmas and New Year’s. I thought all that driving, two days in the parks, eating nonstop, and shopping would wear me out but the trip was surprisingly relaxing. The getaway was much needed.

I thought I took a lot of photos but Cindy beats me. Shot taken at Pink’s (not worth the wait).

Discount ornament shopping. Jenny is starting a collection for next year’s tree in the new house.

Cindy is the biggest Mickey fan I know.

Nightmare Before Christmas is big at Disneyland this time of year.

The haunted mansion gets a Nightmare Before Christmas makeover (my favorite).

Holiday fireworks light up red and green.

Met some friends who happened to be in LA the same time we were. Baby is having his first tortilla.

Had to take some apple pie caramel apples home. So good.
A Baby Changes Everything
I’m back from my break. I had a great time with family and friends over Christmas and New Years, traveling to Los Angelas and eating waaaay too much food. I’ve got a couple posts lined up for this week so check back!
This post is from a christmas production titled “A Baby Changes Everything” by my church. Some shots are from the dress rehearsals so I was able to get on stage and backstage. Hope you enjoy them. Comments are always welcome!
